INOVX is committed to helping protect your privacy. This statement explains how INOVX software collects information and how the information can be used.

Why does INOVX collect information about errors and problems?

The information helps INOVX diagnose problems in the software you use. INOVX will not always be able to offer solutions but when solutions are available, they are offered as updates to install or steps for solving a problem you've reported. To help prevent problems and make software more reliable, some solutions may be included in service packs and future versions of the software.

How is information collected and what types of information can be collected?

INOVX Windows (Client/Server) Applications:
If a problem occurs in one of INOVX's windows software programs, you might be asked if you want to report it to the INOVX reporting service. You can view the details of the report before sending it. Some files might not be in a readable format; you can choose to not submit these files. The software also allows you to report problems automatically instead of requesting your consent each time a problem occurs. If you use automatic reporting, you are not prompted to review the information in a report before it is sent. However, no information is collected unless you choose to report problems. You can choose to stop reporting problems at any time.

The INOVX reporting service will collect information about problems that interrupt you while you work. It's important to diagnose errors that occur behind the scenes because these problems, if left unsolved, might cause additional problems such as performance or program failures.

Reports contain information that is most useful for diagnosing and solving the problem that has occurred, such as:

oWhere the problem happened in the software.

oThe type or severity of the problem.

oFiles that help describe the problem. These failures are typically system or report-generated files about software behavior before or after the problem occurred.

oBasic software and hardware information. This information can include operating system version, language and memory and hard disk size.

oINOVX application session information. INOVX only collects information about processes invoked by INOVX Applications.

Reports may contain personal information, but this information is not used to identify you or contact you. For example, a report may contain your name, the project database name and other session information that may help in identifying the problem.  However, this information is used only to generate aggregate statistics. It is not used to identify you or contact you. For example, the aggregate statistics allow INOVX to distinguish between one customer experiencing a problem one hundred times and one hundred customers experiencing the same problem once. If you are concerned that a report might contain personal or confidential information, you should not send the report.

INOVX Web Services:

INOVX Web services utilized by V-Suite Web and Mobile applications do not submit any information to the INOVX reporting services or any other external service. INOVX Web and Mobile applications however consume Web API services from a customer on-premise web server. This on-premise web server collects diagnostics information in an on-premise diagnostics database which cannot be accessed externally unless the customer explicitly provides external access to the web server and the diagnostics application. To diagnose a problem with the system, INOVX personnel may request the customer system administrator to export certain records from the diagnostics database and provide this information to INOVX. System Diagnostics collected information can be observed by the System Administrator prior to exporting the diagnostics information via the Systems Diagnostics application.

INOVX Mobile Applications:

INOVX iOS and Android mobile applications utilize Microsoft's App Center to collect diagnostics and analytics information such as:

oCrash information reports

oSession information and device properties like device model and OS version

Reports may contain personal information like User Name, Server URI and Web Services Version but this information is not used to identify you. This information is used only to generate aggregate statistics and identify common problems with the software. It is not used to identify you or contact you. For example, the aggregate statistics allow INOVX to distinguish between one customer experiencing a problem one hundred times and one hundred customers experiencing the same problem once. If you are concerned that a report might contain personal or confidential information, you should not install INOVX mobile applications.

Who can use the information submitted to the INOVX reporting service and how can it be used?

INOVX uses information about errors and problems to improve INOVX products and services. INOVX employees and contractors might be provided access to information collected by the reporting service. However, they will use the information only to repair or improve INOVX products and services. All INOVX employees and contractors must abide by the terms of this privacy statement. Aggregate information is used for statistical analysis and does not contain specific information from individual reports, nor does it include any personal or confidential information that might have been collected from a report.
