Enterprise Server
The INOVx Enterprise Server (IES) provides login services and broadcasts database changes to connected V-Suite CORE clients. Enterprise Server is not an application server, it does not perform V-Suite CORE application logic and although responsible for event distribution, does not require substantial hardware or network resources.
Requirements
System Requirements:
Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2
Microsoft .NET Framework 4
Network Requirements:
The system works best on a LAN, direct TCP/IP connection is required. Connection through a firewall is only supported through an externally configured adapter (i.e. VPN connection). Enterprise Server and License Server each listen at an inbound TCP port for client requests.
Installation
INOVx Enterprise Server 2019 (IES) can be installed side-by-side earlier versions of IES. INOVx Enterprise Server 2019 must be installed if you plan to install V-Suite CORE 2019 clients. V-Suite CORE clients cannot connect to earlier versions of IES. Earlier versions of RealityLINx cannot connect to IES 2019.
Refer to the Install INOVX Enterprise Server topic for detailed step by step installation instructions.
Enterprise Server Configuration
At this point, you should have completed the following:
- Installed and configured the database server for V-Suite CORE
- Installed and configured INOVX License Server for V-Suite CORE
- Installed INOVX Enterprise Server
You are now ready to configure IES. You configure IES via the Enterprise Administrator utility which was installed via the IES installation on the V-Suite CORE server.
